Typical Summer in Texas

Well Summer has come to visit the park here in Texas. Ski season is officially over ( both snow and water ). For those who booked passage on the World Famous Mount Krazneydang Cruise Line the passage may seem a bit slow but look at the additional twist we put in shuffle board. Yes the World Class Liner ROT
( that is Republic of Texas for the uninitiated ) Ten Peaches ( named after the meal served every Friday
night ) will leave the dock, in a manner of speaking, every week for a cruise of the area and local Hot Spots. There again to the uninitiated take the words Hot Spots literally.

Easter Spectacular

Yes Spring has sprung and some parts of the park may be closed temporarily due to unfortunate geological activity. Our experts assure us that this is a temporary situation, relatively speaking, but we have decided that the former Wildlife Center, Petting Zoo, Gift Shop, and Volcano Tour Center should be seperated and rebuilt in different parts of the the park.  On the plus side we are proud to offer exotic barbeque in our park restaraunt on a first come first serve basis. The park staff would like to personally offer our condolences to the parents of Scout Troop 351.While their camping trip may have been disturbed by the sudden volcanic eruption they will always have their memorial statue on the mountain where they disappeared.  ( at least until the next eruption )

Fishing the mountain lakes

Well it's springtime on Mount Krazneydang. The fishing season on the mountains many hidden lakes is now in full swing. Do note that the game wardens and Park Rangers do keep close tabs on sportsmen in order to preserve our reources. One statute that should be mentioned is the restriction of anglers to a maximum of 12 pound test line. This particular Texas Sun Perch was caught with 15 pound test and subsequently the fisherman was given a steep fine and forced to throw his catch back.

Presently on assignment in the Denver Salt Water Basin Area, Park Ranger MT Masters is ever alert for approaching Texas Motorcycle units. A restorer of motorcycles as well as Captain of our World Domination Debate Team and a Junior member of The world famous Harvey Wallbanger Olympic Drinking Team, Ranger Mike has been replaced on our mountain rescue team. Due to the fact his last rescue wound up in a casino in Las Vegas.

Pride in our horses

This here crazy horse was found near Mt. Krazneydang's water park, ( open Mon thru Thur on alternate weekends ) . Not sure why it is defective. Some think it may involve the mating of a Brahma Bull and a horse but neither one of them spit the way this thing does. The hump on the back makes it hard at Rodeos to rope a calf, but we get it done. We tried sending it home but it just stands there, like the dumb horse it is. You should hear it try to neigh, sends shivers up your spine. Poor thing. It never will have too many friends.

The Skiing Experience of a Lifetime

While the skiing experience on Mount Krazneydang is unsurpassed for it's beauty and solitude, the spring brings additional challenges for the experienced skier with an eye to excitement. The moguls are can not be compared to any others in the world when flying over you look down to a sight like this. ( Bunny slope is closed at the first warm day of Spring )

Magnificent Fishing and River Rafting

While in Mount Krazneydang National Park don't miss the white water rafting and many streams that provide interesting fishing. It is suggested that small pets be left back at the Park kennel and tire emporium as the little known but highly voracious Mountain Alligators tend to get a little frisky. Just to re-assure our guest we HAVE switched from the vinyl rafts to alluminum boats for the river raft rides, after the unfortunate experience with the Labor Day River Raft Race.
